In 2009, a group of friends embarked on a mission to raise money to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF). We created a campground and concert venue on a five-acre parcel of land in Bitely, Michigan, to hold a fundraising event during the annual Blessing of the Bikes weekend in nearby Baldwin. Each year since 1972, thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts gather at the Baldwin Municipal Airport on the third weekend in May to receive a blessing for a safe riding season while raising money for St. Ann's Senior Nutrition Program. The Hog Bash was designed to give those bikers a place to camp, play and enjoy some of the best entertainment in the area only eight miles from the Blessing location. With hundreds in attendance annually, we soon outgrew that property and moved a half mile north to a larger parcel of land. In 2014, HOG BASH INC., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization was formed, and we enjoyed our greatest success to that date and raised over $5,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
This year, we are taking those successful lessons and making even more improvements. We will give guests the best experience value with a large camping and entertainment event. In 2015 we witnessed over 600 people rock and camp with Hog Bash raising an AMAZING $8,500 DONATION! This year looks to be even bigger yet.
Entertainment will include local favorites as well as great tribute bands when available. Withe the option of camping for the entire weekend or attending the concert only on a day pass, we have the best entertainment venue at the annual Blessing of the Bikes. We expect to have a huge increase in attendance and most importantly, an increase in revenue for our cause.
